After nearly 4 years in the business, starting from literally one person with 100m, some snake implants, and a vision, fighting through every challenge both external and internal: we finally did it. Over two *hundred* contracts. ThatGÇÖs over 150 satisfied customers plus repeat business. We have been hired by almost every 0.0 power block that has existed in EVE since our founding, some several times, and have gone from an eager startup to one of the leaders in the mercenary community. We have set records, we have broken them. And weGÇÖre gonna break another one celebrating how far weGÇÖve come.
The Noir. Bicentennial Celebration.
By now, some of you have no doubt received the GÇ£invitationsGÇ¥ in your Notifications tab.
The life a mercenary in EVE, especially when you are a small alliance trying to do it full time, is not one of convenience. Sometimes we have to take a contract that we know is gonna suck because itGÇÖs either that or *shudder* mission. If a contract turns into a meat grinder or we discover weGÇÖre in over our heads, thereGÇÖs no GÇ£declare victory and go homeGÇ¥: we have to fight till the end of the contract and do anything and everything we can to pull it out. If something fun happens on the other side of EVE or even a few systems away, our contract takes priority even if itGÇÖs boring.
So to celebrate completing over 200 contracts, weGÇÖre going to do something completely different. In all its years, Noir. has NEVER, before today, declared war outside of a contract. So I decided our reward for coming this far would be to break that cherry with our Bicentennial Celebration, Pinkie Pie style. As best I could research, the concurrent war dec record in EVE since the P-Nerf was 22, set by the Orphanage. Today, we have broken that record by war decing the largest 25 alliances in EVE. ItGÇÖs not about efficiency or trying to GÇ£winGÇ¥ any of these wars, thereGÇÖs no goal for us here but FUN.
And there will be prizes! The NMG. Pilot with the most kills will receive a T3 of their choice, the Noir. corp pilot with the coolest kill will get a medal, and we will have a GÇ£Guess the DamageGÇ¥ contest closer to the end (inspired by Guess the PCU) open to everyone in EVE where you can win a faction cruiser by posting your guess. Track our progress via our new API killboard and site created by JaredC01 (maybe someday he'll fix the rest of the site lol).
I would like to take this time to thank Kirith Kodachi, Shattered Crystal, and the donations of time + ISK from my members + corps which made this possible. Much thanks to VG COLT for creating our awesome new ad. I would also like to extend a special thanks to the many members who have returned to EVE and returned to Noir. to share this moment, without whom we wouldnGÇÖt be the corp we are today.

Elise came into channel with this challenge, which I was forced to politely decline. The prospect of such a stirring contest is most appealing, however due to the disparity of fleet size between PL and Noir. in what would surely be a well attended event is too great.
Elise said the offer would remain open in the future, and I hope one day to grow NMG. to the point where such an HONOURE DUELE would be a show down worthy of the billing.
I've extended an offer to Elise to be on the Declarations of War podcast in return for this outreached hand, and I hope to bring his storied expository skills to your ears shortly. |

3 days in, 224 kills for apx 12.4B in damage. And lots of corps dropping from our targets. Pretty swanky!

EVE Uni's put out the only organized resistance so far, and they've done it a bunch. Some incredibly fun fights
